If only individuals would delve into Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War,” they would grasp the origins of my extensive exposé on the clandestine Machiavellian maneuvers of treachery and betrayal currently unfolding within the PDP National leadership, headed by my brother, Ambassador Umar Damagum.
In Surah an-Nisaa’ 4:105, the following ayat were revealed by the Almighty above the seven heavens: ❛Surely, We have sent down to you the Book in truth, that you [O Muhammad salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam] might judge between men by that which Allah has shown you, so be not a pleader for the treacherous.❜
What Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala conveyed to Rasulullah salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was that he (Rasulullah SAW) should not defend the treacherous, as he erroneously did in the story of Bashir and his tribe, Bani Ubairiq, until Allah SWT cleared the name of Qatadah and Rifa’ah’s from the treachery of Bashir and Bani Ubairiq.
Therefore, I, Yunusa Suleiman Santuraki, as a Mumin, engaged in constant Jihad with the self, battling against ego, selfishness, greed, and evil, boldly declare my commitment to speaking the truth.
Last week, I cautioned against an alleged deal between the APC, facilitated by Wike, and the PDP NWC led by Umar Damagum, aimed at destabilizing the PDP and rendering it ineffectual as an opposition party. I also reported, as alleged, that US$5 million has been released to Umar Damagum and a few of his cronies in the NWC to actualize this objective.
At this juncture, it is essential to emphasize the keyword ‘alleged.’ While these claims are unverified, individuals in the know informed me of a deal involving the following:
- Ensure that the PDP NEC is never convened, notwithstanding the PDP constitution’s stipulation that NEC should meet at least once every three months.
- Ensure that the PDP presents the most ineffective candidate as its gubernatorial flagbearer in the Imo State governorship election.
- Foster disaffection and crisis at all party levels, particularly in Imo State, Rivers State, Ekiti State, and Akwa Ibom State.
- Establish a legal loophole for PDP to lose future electoral victories and create resentment for the PDP in the South East (the national secretary imbroglio readily comes to mind). This plan aims to alienate PDP leaders in the South East, making the PDP irrelevant in the region and providing the APC an opportunity to capture it.
Aware of its unpopularity in the South East, the APC seeks to punish the region by conquering it. It is perplexing that Umar Damagum is making decisions that anger PDP leaders in the South East, almost as if he is intentionally or unintentionally aligning with the APC’s desires.
Some may wrongly perceive my scrutiny of Umar Damagum and his NWC cronies as hatred or insult. I persist in pointing out the actions and inactions of the party national leadership, indicating a potential alignment with the APC.
Accusations of working for H.E Emeka Ihedioha have been leveled against me. However, I maintain that if H.E Emeka Ihedioha had not been unjustly denied the PDP governorship ticket in Imo State, he could have triumphed over Governor Hope Uzodinma again.
Regardless of accusations, I am confident that Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala will vindicate me as I adhere to His injunction: “Verily, Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those to whom they are due” [Surah al-Nisa’ 4:58]. This belief is echoed in a narration by al-Tirmidhi, 1264 (saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi): “Render back the trust to the one who entrusted it to you, and do not betray those who betray you.”
In conclusion, the defection of 27 PDP House of Assembly members in Rivers State loyal to ex-governor Wike demonstrates Wike’s unwavering efforts to undermine the PDP for the benefit of the APC. Wike is executing this plan with the clandestine connivance of some influential members of the PDP National Working Committee.
Yours truly,
Yunusa Suleiman Santuraki Esq
