“What the mind can conceived it can achieved” – Napoleon Hills.
There is no doubt in my mind that Nigeria as a country is indeed blessed with many talents with great prospect scattered in different field of human endeavors. Politics, Art, Sports, Agriculture, Health, Entertainment, name them. Yesterday, was indeed a great day for all African nations most importantly Nigerians as Burna Boy and Wizkid made the country proud at the Grammy Awards. In as much as, I’m not a music enthusiast but a devoted admirer of both music genius who made us proud at the global scene yesterday, i have come to commend their efforts and celebrate with them as well.
The truth remains, it is not easy to be nominated for Grammy Awards not to talk of winning it. Apart from Grace of God that is sufficient for all of us, Burna Boy and Wizkid over the years have shown commitment, hardwork and passion for the task designated before them which is all about their music career. The story of Burna Boy and Wizkid could be likened to the story of two identical twins starring from the lowest ebb in the morning but occupied the throne of greatness while dusk were approaching. Burna Boy truly showed the true definition of never give up in the course of his music sojourn. Wizkid at the other hand has been consistent with his God given potential over the years.
Some years ago, many people wrote Burna Boy off, some even tagged him “Ikorodu Bob Marley” albeit, the River state born Afro-beat Star has just silenced his critics.
Most times, the best way to silenced your critics and those who reject you and see nothing good in you is to be consistent and achieve a groundbreaking international success that we leave them all wandering around like a cow in an unfamiliar compound of a lame man.
Burna Boy and Wizkid have made Nigeria, African and all of us proud.
Those who see nothing good to ever come out of Nigeria have now went back to roost.
Let celebrate the duo music genius while its last.
