Engr. Mrs Bilikisu Adeola Jimoh MNSE, MNIEEE has emerged as 1 of the 4 succesful candidates in a keenly contested recruitment excercise for the post of Technical Engineer in 4 Business hubs of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).
In a statement signed by Mrs Ehi Obaseki,the Chief Human Resource Officer of the company, the management board of IBEDC announced the emergence of Engr. Mrs Jimoh as the first female Technical Engineer in the company.
An impressive career spanning 26 years, she rose through the ranks since her career started with the defunct Nigeria Electricity Power Authority (NEPA) in 1994 as Operations and Maintenance officer and later Supervisor Protection, Control and Metering at Challenge Business Hub, Kwara region.
A certified Engineer and a woman of substance ,she is noted for being actively tackling challenges of network distribution for the company through their business hub.
The former Chairperson of Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria(APWEN) ,Ilorin Branch has now assumed office as the Technical Engineer of Baboko Business hub in Ilorin,Kwara State.
Unprecedentedly, she is expected to set precedence for other aspiring female Engineers in the organisation and the country as a whole as time goes by.
Engr. Jimoh , who attended several developmental programs in her area of expertise both in Nigeria and Abroad holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering from Kwara State Polytechnic, Post graduate diploma of Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology , Ogbomoso and Diploma Certificate in Computer Science from Kwara State College of Education,Ilorin.
A thorough bred professional, In her quest for more advance knowledge and capacity building, she equally went abroad for training on Testing , Operation and Maintenance of Distribution transformers at Awal Rajastan,India as well as special intensive training on Maintenance of 11KV switchgear at Schneider Electric Company,Cairo, Egypt in 2014.
As a registered Engineer,she is a member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Council for The Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) , Nigeria Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (MNIEEE) and the Association of Professional Women Engineers (APWEN).
Among many honours and recognition, Adeola was awarded as Outstanding Woman Professional in Built Environment by Construction and Engineering Digest (CDE) Magazine, Lagos in 2018.
Married to another Engineer, Abdulrazaq Jimoh MNSE, MNIEEE ,MIEEE and blessed with children, she has served in different capacities in Engineering societes from State to National level.
