PROFILE OF RASHEED BOLARINWA, HEAD, STRATEGIC BRAND MANAGEMENT & CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS, SKYE BANK PLC

 Bolarinwa is educated up to Master's level. He is a certified integrated marketing communications practitioner and a brand management professional with over 18 years post-qualification hands on experience spanning journalism, public relations, brand management, corporate communications, marketing, reputation management, insurance and consulting.

 

 A recent survey carried out amongst financial press and Editors, indicate almost 90 percent satisfaction level and high reverence for his excellent relationship management, integrity, candour and professionalism. He is equally regarded by his peers and professional colleagues in the PR profession, especially the Lagos State Chapter of NIPR where he plays active role and was once the Chairperson of the Media Sub-Committee where he drove high visibility for the activities of the Chapter across all media platforms.

 He was reputed to have brought a breadth of fresh air to brand management practice in Nigeria's Insurance industry, as the then Head of Brand Management of one of the most admired companies, Cornerstone Insurance Plc. His style was described as strategic and intellectual. 

 A widely read professional, Bolarinwa who has received extensive and high octane capacity building and function-specific training in prestigious Institutions in Nigeria and offshore is a multiple alumnus of Lagos Business School(LBS); School of Media & Communications, Pan African University, Lekki and was also in Ashridge Management College, UK where he studied brand Management and underwent extensive studies on top global brands like HSBC, AIG, British Airways, Toyota, Coca Cola, Singapore Airlines, Samsung, LG Electronics, Phillips etc.

 His current brief as Chief custodian of the Skye Bank brand, is to strategically deepen the corporate and product brands of the financial giant and tend to everything communications concerning the Bank which was recently grouped among eight banks that are too strategic to fail by the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN).

 Bolarinwa who belongs to several professional bodies, is an active member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations(NIPR); Chartered Marketing Communications Institute of Nigeria(CMCIN) and African Council for Communications Education.
